The book chapter is part of an edited collection on the experiences of immigrant and first-generation U.S. American scholars in rhetoric, composition, and communication. It is a personal narrative where I discuss my immigration story and how it shaped my decision to pursue a degree in English and graduate studies in Professional Writing.

 

 

Research essay on the intersection between social media and identity

This research article discusses the interaction of society with social media in order to understand how they influence our identity as users and content creators. Part of the discussion includes a discussion on the different components of a group of social media platforms.

 

 

Masters thesis introducing linguistic terminology into the composition conversation

This research article offers a metaphorical approach to a term commonly found in linguistic studies, code-meshing, to be included in the field of composition as a way to view and understand the interaction that content creators have with the different platforms available to create and share work.

 

 

Book review of Stephen Apkon’s The Age of the Image: Redefining Literacy in a World of Screens (2013)

Following the pattern of a written review, this content is presented in the form of three voice recordings accompanied by images and ambient music.

It is an approach to exploring different content delivery mediums through digital technology.

The review is published in the journal Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy (Issue 23.2/Spring 2019).
